The aim of the Death Cafe movement is to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives. We meet simply as people who are going to die. Death Cafes are not for profit and offer an open, respectful and confidential space for a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, advertising or themes. They are not grief support or counselling sessions.

Acoustic Routes was started by singer/songwriter Bernard Hoskin in 2001 to present the finest acoustic music in a small concert setting.The concerts take place in the intimate basement at CB2 restaurant near the centre of Cambridge and present some of the finest national and international performers around. The music covered includes singer/songwriters, acoustic guitarists, traditional folk, blues, and Americana.
